Several technologies
are used for Mid-IR Spectroscopy by various Industries. NLIR ApS has put a new
technology into the mix. It brings fast full spectrum acquisition (sub ms /
>1 kHz), is spectral broad (2-5 µm & 7-11µm), rugged (no moving parts),
requires no cooling (operates @ 18-45 C).
Use cases span over
Headspace Gas Analysis (HGA) in vials, determination of CO2 content
in fast flowing liquid feeds for beverage tapping (via ATR on/in a pipe),
spectrum of individual pharmaceutical pills, inspection of coatings on metal
and paper coils/sheets/plates, plastic type identification of recycled
automotive dashboards, real time control of coating of optical components
during material deposition in vacuum.
