The three-day course provides a comprehensive introduction to the topic of Multivariate Statistical Process Control (MSPC).
Day 1 concentrates on basic industrial statistics. Those experienced in statistical methods need only attend the second and third days of this course. For those less experienced or looking for a refresher in industrial statistics, attendance on all three days is recommended.
The building blocks of MSPC are put in place on Day 2. Attention initially focuses on the issue of data, in particular how to 'clean-up' a data set. The multivariate statistical projection technique of principal component analysis is then introduced.
Day 3 focuses on how the previous day's tools are used in the development of monitoring schemes for continuous and batch manufacturing processes.
