CPACT is run by its members for its members, supported by a core team based at Strathclyde. The Industrial Management Board established several committees to coordinate decisions relating to different aspects of CPACT's operation and the scope of each committee's activities is described below. Participation in CPACT's committee work offers individuals the following benefits:
- Opportunity to shape CPACT activities of personal interest, for the benefit of colleagues across the CPACT community
- Awareness of the broader operation and organisation of CPACT
- Participation in CPACT committees is a good way to ensure your organisation is active and benefits from CPACT membership
- Participation can be a good development opportunity for younger staff as it provides experience of committee work in an extensive external organisation
- Involvement raises the profile of the individual with CPACT members, which may be attractive for younger staff
- Participation can lead to deeper involvement as e.g., a member of the CPACT Steering Committee
